The difference between a geared elevator and a gearless elevator

Geared and gearless refer to the structure of the elevator traction machine. The structure of the gear box is divided into worm gears, planetary gears, helical gears, etc.; similarly, a gearless elevator means that the main elevator is a motor. +The traction mechanism of the brake device has no gear reducer. The motors of gearless elevators are divided into DC motors and AC permanent magnet synchronous motors.
